About
In this training, Lia will introduce key concepts of Motivational Interviewing (MI). We discuss the specific ways that MI can help your clients develop motivation to change problematic and risky behaviors (e.g. substance use disorders, poor eating habits, tobacco use, and treatment engagement and adherence). Strengthen your ability to motivate your clients to make and maintain positive changes. You will become familiar with the spirit, principles, and basic techniques of MI. Through interactive exercises, role-play, practice, video, and case examples, you will learn to apply MI flexibly and effectively and to make it a natural and integrated part of your clinical practice.
